電気粘性流体(Er)

印加電界でみかけの粘度が変化する機能性流体であるER流体(電気粘性流体)を応用し,可動部なしに電気信号で直接流体を制御することで,単純構造で高信頼,高応答な液圧制御弁(ERバルブとよぶ)を試作し,基本特性の検討,FHA制御への応用,制御バルブへの応用などを試みている.また、METERAと称する、ER流体を作動流体とする弁とアクチュエータ部一体形の新型マイクロアクチュエータの開発を行っている.直線駆動形と回転形がある.動作の安全性が高いので医用補助などに応用できる.
