ECF マイクロアクチュエータ

Micro Actuators using ECF-jet pressure

Tube-type:ECF-jets are produced between rod-type electrodes by applying high voltages

Micro actuators using Electro-conjugate Fluids (ECF) are proposed and developed. The ECF is a kind of dielectric fluids and produces jet flow from rod-type or needle-type electrodes in an applied static electric field. The ECFjet from an electrodes pair unit is converted to Pressure in a flexible tube.

There are Two Types:
Artificial Muscle
Tube-type Micro Actuators

A proto-type of the ECF micro finger with two chambers
ECF micro hand with three fingers

Principle of the micro finger   Finger: The principle of a ECF micro finger driven by ECF-jets with three chambers
